About the event
Our first Symposium on "Africa & The World: architecting meaningful impact" was held on Jan 9, at the Impact Hub’s Community Salon (Collab). The following speakers took us on a tremendously insightful journey of meaningful impact:
- Churchill Agutu: energy & technology - Churchill unpacked his subject matter expertise to help a very attentive audience grasp both the challenge & the opportunity that lies ahead, in Africa, in addressing the energy and our transition to sustainable means to power 1.4bn lives.
- Jacqueline Kossiwa T.: diversity, equity and inclusion - Jacqueline disambiguated the blurred lines of why this matters. As the first black female police officer in Zürich, she shared her journey on what it meant to be the change she wanted to see in the world, as well as seeing a problem and becoming its solution. And to the point, how Kesecurix was born of a need to scale that solution.
- Elie Akili: the state of affairs on the retail, transportation and manufacturing industries in Africa - for a Continent whose surmountable challenges present economic opportunities, Elie ambitiously unpacked his vision to bring about decisive change and economic transformation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, so that we too can become architects and catalysts of meaningful impact.
Our thanks to our First Three for so inspiringly setting the stage!
